The main founders of the Legal Informatics Journal are the leading federal institutions of the Ministry of Justice of Russia: the Russian Law Academy and the Scientific Centre for Legal Information (SCLI). The Editorial Board includes the country’s leading scholars in the field.
The task of the founders and editorial board of the journal is to create a principally new, specialised scientific media which would synthesise the research interests in the sphere of legal informatics of legal scholars as well as specialists in the field of creating information resources, such as legal information databases, and others.
Several blocks of substantial information form the basic structure of the journal. These are: general theoretical questions of information technology law, practical problems of creation and implementation of legal information databases, lines of formation and development of information security systems and building a well-developed information society, and creation of interactive ‘electronic’ media on the Internet.
We invite specialists in the field of legal informatics, information technology law, and information security to submit their papers for publication. The most significant results of topical research in progress will find their place on the pages of the Legal Informatics Journal.
The journal is registered in the Russian Science Citation Index (in Russian: РИНЦ) . The journal’s International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) is ISSN 1994-1404 .
