The Legal Informatics Journal was founded in 1996 by the Scientific Centre for Legal Information under the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. The journal is included in the List of Peer-Reviewed Research Journals of the Higher Attestation Commission (K1 quartile) for research specialties 2.3.1 “System Analysis, Management, and Information Processing (Technology, Physics and Mathematics)” and 5.1.2 “Public Law”, as well as in the White List of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
The journal publishes the results of fundamental and applied research studies and ensures interdisciplinary interaction between scholars and specialists in such fields as Technology, Physics & Mathematics, and Law. Due to this, the journal promotes the development of research dialogue, experience exchange, and integration of knowledge between different disciplines.
The editorial office adheres to the principles of academic rigour, topicality of published materials (papers), transparency of the reviewing process, and support for interdisciplinary research.

The journal is intended for a broad scope of specialists interested in the development of legal informatics and modern technology. Special focus is given to experts working at the nexus of technology and law, including in the field of artificial intelligence, digital economy, and information security.
Distinctive features of publications
The journal specialises in publishing interdisciplinary research combining technological, mathematical, and legal aspects, special attention being given to topical areas of digital transformation of the public sector, business, and the social sphere.
Papers presented in the journal combine fundamental theoretical models with practical solutions in the field of introducing innovative technologies, legal regulation of digital platforms, ensuring cyber security and data protection. All materials (papers) undergo a thorough academic inspection with the participation of experts in the field of technology and law.
